The live album that made the studio version sound like a demo

Picked up a used copy of a 1984 Springsteen bootleg from a flea market in Ohio on a whim. Heard the crowd roaring during the slow parts and suddenly the polished record felt flat and fake. Anyone else have a live version that ruined the original for them?

Update: heard a 1977 bootleg of Fleetwood Mac live and it ruined the studio version for me

Ngl, I was never a big Fleetwood Mac fan. Heard them on the radio for years, thought they were fine. Then my buddy in Austin sent me this bootleg from a 1977 show. The drums are slower, Stevie's voice cracks in places, and the crowd is yelling over the quiet parts. But the energy is insane. Suddenly the album version sounds too clean, like they removed all the feeling. I've listened to that bootleg 12 times this week. Has anyone else had a live version completely replace the studio one for them, or am I just chasing that raw sound now?

Vent: Completely missed the point of OK Computer for 25 years

I was stuck in traffic on I-35 in Austin last week when the track 'Let Down' hit me so hard I had to pull over, but then I realized I'd been hearing it as background noise since 1997 instead of actually listening, so has anyone else had a song suddenly click after decades of hearing it?
