Saw the old Homestar Runner site still up, but is it a museum or a ghost?

Stopped by homestarrunner.com last night on a whim after someone brought up Strong Bad in a group chat. It's still there, all of it, the cartoons, the games, the email page. But it froze on me twice and the last update thing says like 2010 or something. I get keeping it alive for nostalgia, but part of me wonders if it's better to just let these things die clean instead of sitting there half working. Like, is a dead site with a working server actually preserving history, or is it just a corpse in a basement? Curious if anyone else has strong feelings on this, or if you've found any other old sites that are technically alive but clearly abandoned.

Aw man, that place is the definition of a time capsule! I went down that same rabbit hole a few years back and got hit with such a wave of nostalgia I could barely breathe. It's wild how a broken-ass Flash player can still give you all the feels. I totally get what you mean about it being a corpse, but honestly, I'd rather have the creaky old corpse than a shiny plaque saying "this used to exist." The fact that it still half-loads is part of the charm, you know? It's like checking in on an old friend who never quite moved on, and I'm here for it. Let it sit there and freeze all it wants, that's way better than a clean digital graveyard.

Just grab the old flash files and try running them in a standalone player.
