A practical fix for when writing prompts feel too generic

Tried something similar with people-watching at the park last week, you know, hoping for a weird detail to kickstart a story. All I got was a guy eating a sandwich in the most normal way possible for a full hour. Sometimes the world just gives you a boring sandwich instead of a poetic poodle. My jar’s latest note just says “broken umbrella” which feels about as inspiring as dry toast. Maybe we’re trying too hard and the good stuff only happens when you’re not looking for it.

My great-granddad's pocket watch died after I wound it too hard. Any chance to bring it back?

Snapped mainspring sounds serious, but is it really?

Why I skip the pre-heat for small brass castings

What kind of molds are you using for those small pieces? I only skip the pre-heat on really simple sand casts, anything else and I've had issues.

Unpopular opinion: Foam underlayment is more trouble than it's worth sometimes!

Right, what @abby_schmidt93 said about room temp... I've seen humidity wreck a wood glue joint because it was too damp in the garage. Stuff that's meant to be simple ends up needing a whole science degree to figure out. Those little variables sneak up on you every time, like how paint won't dry right if it's too cold.

Just found out my go-to show is done for good after two seasons

Yeah but @leo107 a bad ending can totally wreck the whole ride for me. It makes it hard to go back and rewatch something knowing it all falls apart. The week to week stuff was fun, but the ending is what you're left with, you know? Maybe it's just me but that final impression sticks around.
