The guy at the star party in Flagstaff who said my stacked moon shot was "cheating"
Two years back I was at a star party near Flagstaff and an older guy with a big dob looked at my laptop screen after I stacked 40 frames of the moon and flat out said "that's cheating, a photo should be one click." I get where he's coming from since I started on a tripod with a single shot, but stacking is the only reason my shots look like anything at all from my backyard. So which is it, is stacking and processing just part of the hobby now, or does it take something away from the shot?
