Bringing a floor lamp actually makes sense if you're moving or need one at your destination. People pack weird stuff because they have a real use for it. My cousin once checked a standing fan because her new apartment didn't have air conditioning. Airlines allow it if it's under the size and weight limit, so why not?

What kind of system do you use now to decide what gets a comment? Do you have a rule, or do you just go by what feels confusing in the moment?

My freezer's basically a veggie scrap graveyard at this point, totally get what @paige_moore means about it just moving waste around. I tried making broth from my collection of sad carrot nubs and it tasted like boiled lawn clippings. Guess my cooking skills aren't quite at my aunt's level yet.

My buddy Mark froze a whole lasagna last month and it totally saved him when his car broke down and he had no cash for delivery.
