Just hit 500 episodes watched on my tracker and it feels weird

I was checking my list and saw I passed 500 total episodes across all shows. It made me think about how I watch anime now versus when I started. Some people say tracking numbers ruins the fun, but for me it helps remember stuff like finishing all 64 episodes of 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood' last year. Do you guys use trackers or do you think they take away from just enjoying the show?

I get what @williams.betty means, but for me seeing those numbers is a cool record of all the time I've enjoyed, it doesn't feel like a chore at all lol.

Honestly, tracking numbers like that would totally ruin anime for me. I used to log everything too, but then I realized I was just watching to fill a list instead of actually enjoying the shows. Now I just watch stuff when I feel like it and it feels way more fun.
