inMy brother told me to avoid the Whyte Ave chat room after 10 PM
It's funny how those old 24 hour spots become these quiet anchors in a neighborhood. They're always there when everything else is closed, you know? It makes you realize how much we rely on places that don't follow the normal clock. There's a real comfort in knowing some lights are always on, no matter what time you roll by. It feels like a small piece of the city that never sleeps, even in areas that usually do.

Ever try a corner trowel for that?

inMy uncle, who's been laying floors for 40 years, told me to always start hardwood in the middle of the room.
Honestly @lane.kim that's the best advice right there. Tried starting in the middle of my modern living room once and it was a total mess. Walls were all wonky and nothing lined up. The wall method just saves so much time and headache in newer places. Ngl, learned that lesson the hard way after wasting a whole Saturday.

inVent: My attempt at a birthday cake for my son in Chicago last weekend turned into a leaning tower of frosting.
Love that sleepy cake description, honestly.

inMy chicken Gertrude decided the dog's bed was her new nesting box
Honestly that's just how animals work, they find a spot they like and then it's law. My friend's cat decided the bathroom sink was her throne and now nobody brushes their teeth in peace. The dog accepting the floor is the real plot twist though.
