inJust finished our club's take on 'Klara and the Sun' and the discussion format split us
Remember when I thought having rules made every talk smarter? My old group used a timer for each person's turn, and it killed the mood. Someone would mention a character's bad choice and we'd all have to wait ten minutes to react, by then the feeling was gone. Now I see the best parts happen when someone just jumps in with "okay but what about..." and we follow that thread.

inPicking granite over quartz for my kitchen counter was a real rock moment
Good choice. I went through the same debate last year. That natural variation in granite just gives a kitchen soul that factory-made stuff can't match. You do have to seal it once a year, but it's a simple wipe-on process. Ten years from now, that slab will still look unique, while every quartz pattern starts to feel familiar.

inPSA: I spent $40 on a travel clothesline and it was a total waste
Honestly, it's just a clothesline, not a life support system. You tried it, it didn't work, and you found a better way for a buck. That's just how travel goes sometimes.

inWasted $300 on a 'reunion specialist' who just sent generic emails
That's a tough spot to be in, especially when you're already stressed. Did they give you any sort of report or proof of what they actually did, or was it just those three emails? It makes you wonder how many of these services are just taking money from people in a bad spot.

inJust realized I've completely flipped on how I explain deja vu to people
Yeah, that's a solid point from @evah40.
