inMy Jaw Dropped When I Saw the Elevation Profile on the JMT
Right? Like 89k feet of climbing over 2650 miles. That's basically hiking a mountain every single day for five months straight. My knees hurt just thinking about it. Way different than the AT which is just rolling hills by comparison.

inWent to the local art fair last weekend and saw a guy selling AI generated landscapes on canvas for $200 a pop
Wait, wait hold on. He typed in "purple trees" and that was somehow worth $200 to people? I mean I get that we all like different things but that is wild to me. I'm not even against AI art in general, but selling it at a physical art fair next to people who spent hours mixing paint and brushing strokes just feels like a different league entirely. Like showing up to a chess tournament with a calculator that plays for you. And the fact that people were buying them like crazy makes me wonder if anyone even looked at the actual canvas or just the glowing tablet screen.

inDropped $80 on a "quantum healing" bracelet that did squat
Oh man, "realign my energy" - I fell for that exact same line of garbage about two years back. Bought myself a "harmonizing" copper wristband from some online store, cost me sixty bucks, and wore it to my construction job for a month thinking my chronic shoulder knots would vanish. They didn't, and the thing left green marks on my wrist like I was a cheap statue. Here's the thing I finally figured out - those sellers are banking on the placebo effect and your hope, not actual science. If you want real back pain relief from landscaping, get a good lumbar support belt from a hardware store, not a magic trinket. Save your money and buy some quality ibuprofen instead.
