See that's where I have to push back a bit. The whole "good stuff costs more upfront" line isn't always true in my experience. Sometimes the cheap part is fine for a one-off job and the expensive one is just a waste of money. Not every single thing needs to be top shelf or you'd never get anything done on budget. It really depends on the job.
