inI finally figured out why new lifts keep having door trouble.
You ever wonder why they set them so tight to begin with? I bet a lot of crews do it thinking it's "safer" or just to pass the initial test faster. But they don't picture how much the whole frame settles and moves in the first few weeks. That perfect tiny gap on day one is a binding door by day thirty, lol. Makes you think we should be setting them a bit loose on purpose, knowing they'll shift.

inMy turnaround on using cellular backups for alarms
That's true about the storm test being rough. It got me thinking how most people set up their backup once and then forget it for years. Batteries die or cellular contracts expire without anyone noticing. The real problem is we treat these systems like they're set and forget, but they need checkups like everything else.

inUnpopular opinion: My aunt's slapdash butter softening trick works every time
Totally agree about planning ahead. I used to nuke butter for cookies and ended up with weird flat puddles instead. Just leaving it out is the only method that never messes up the texture for me.

inBegan a daily color mixing drill, and it's paying off
Check the fine print on that ten minute claim, @wood.paige. Most plans need way more daily effort to actually work. They use that number because it sounds easy, but real results come from consistent, longer work.
