I stopped at that truck stop off I-40 last Thursday and saw two different mystery boxes sitting on the counter, the pricey one had this flashy sports car on the front promising a 'premium collectible' and it was just a cheap keychain and a broken flashlight, while the cheap one from the same brand gave me a weird little metal badge and a functioning mini screwdriver set, so which one do you all think is the real scam here, the markup or the promise?

I ordered a $30 mystery box from a seller on Etsy last month, 5 random figures and a promised 'rare' one. When it showed up at my door in Portland, the box had the right outer label but the inside was all common repeats from a different set, not even the theme I paid for. I took photos of the unboxing video timestamp, messaged the seller with proof, and they admitted they mixed up two orders after I pushed back twice. They offered a partial refund of $12, which I took, but honestly the trust is gone. Has anyone else gotten a swapped mystery box and actually gotten the seller to send the right one in the end?

I picked it up on a whim last month at a chain outdoor store, figuring it'd be full of junk. The fire starter was a cheap ferro rod that threw sparks on the first try. The compass held a steady bearing for a whole weekend hike near Lake Placid. Has anyone else had a mystery box surprise them with something that wasn't totally useless?
