My niece asked why my Mandalorian helmet looks banged up, and I had to explain the $7 trash can lid
About two months back I finally finished my Mando kit for the Rose City Comic Con in Portland, and the helmet is literally a dollar store wastebasket with a visor cut from a welding shield. Total spend was around $40, mostly spray paint and a cheap rotary tool from Harbor Freight. My niece inspected it at the kitchen table and asked why the dome has dents, so I told her the truth, that's just how the plastic melted a little under the heat gun. Curious if anyone else here has had luck smoothing warped plastic without buying a heat gun with a temp dial.
