Six seasons is wild, kim. I tapped out of The Walking Dead around season 8 and never looked back, but I still finished all of Dexter even when it got rough. That Marcus guy nailed it though, once I hit that point where I'm scrolling my phone during episodes, I know the love is gone. Wouldn't even call it powering through at that point, more like habit.

My grandma had this $2 yard sale cookbook with food stains all over it and it got way more use than her fancy hardcover ones. Same thing at the library where I work, the beat up paperbacks fly off the shelf while the shiny new copies just sit there. I think when something looks too nice people are scared to mess it up.
