Read a story on a Beech forum once where a guy spent two days on a flap issue because the wiring diagram was from an older serial number range. His plane had a factory rework that never made it into the books. The mechanics who commented all said the same thing: trust the plane, then write up a discrepancy so the books get fixed for the next guy. Paperwork lags behind what actually happened on the line, and yours is the history that counts.
