Lubed my first set of switches took 4 hours but wow what a difference

Go easy on the hype. 4 hours for one set seems like a lot. I did a batch of Kailh Box switches once and honestly couldn't tell much difference after lubing them. Maybe my fingers are just dead from typing all day. Or maybe the stock switches were already decent. Felt like a waste of an evening to me.

Just realized I've done over 200 keratin treatments in the last year. That number kind of blew my mind.

200 treatments in a single year is staggering, I can barely manage getting my hair trimmed twice a year without forgetting about it entirely. That's a whole lot of time sitting in a salon chair, you must practically live there at this point. No wonder the number made you stop and think, I'd have the exact same reaction if it was me.

Dollar store cake pans saved my pepper plants

I've been using a thin layer of coarse sand on top of my seed trays for about two years now. It cut down the algae about 80 percent. The thing is, I think it's the same reason people put a layer of gravel on their windowsill plant pots. You see it everywhere, even in landscaping. People always try to put a barrier between the wet soil and the air, but they forget that wet soil needs air to breathe too. The sand lets the top dry out faster than the soil underneath. It's like putting a lid on a pot of soup to keep it from boiling over. The moisture still comes up, but the sand keeps the surface from staying soaked. My neighbor uses old takeout containers too. He swears by the clear lids for his cactus starts. Says they hate having wet feet but love the humidity. Works for him.

Heads up about the comic shop in Oakwood Plaza

Ugh that's so frustrating to deal with! I swear every time I go to a shop that's supposed to be organized it's like they just gave up halfway through sorting. Sorry you wasted your time digging through all that.

Vent: client told me my 10 years of experience didn't matter

Evan, you just accused a stylist of age bias while defending a client who threw a tantrum over basic precautions, that's some Olympic-level mental gymnastics right there. Age cuts both ways sure, but so does common sense, and walking out on someone trying to protect their license isn't a 'gotcha' moment for anyone. At this rate, maybe we should just let clients bring in their own scissors and save everyone the drama.
