inJust had a customer insist I use her old carpet pad from the 80s
That "brown snow" is the perfect description. I had a guy try to get me to reuse some ancient wood trim he'd pulled off his own house. It was so warped and full of old nails it was basically modern art. I spent more time trying to make it work than it would have taken to just cut new stuff, so the joke was on me.

inWarning: a bad pour on a sloped driveway in Cincinnati took me 12 hours to fix
Watched a whole patio slab start to slide off a hill once. We had to scramble to build a dirt berm with shovels to hold it back. That was a long, muddy day.

inPSA: Watch out for that new 'Edmonton Chat' app that popped up last month
Ouch, that's brutal. You basically paid for a digital ghost town with extra bugs. I'd have more fun setting forty bucks on fire, at least that would keep me warm for a second. It's like they saw the word "local" and thought they didn't need to make anything that actually functioned. What a total scam. Did they even try to fix the crashes before taking people's money?

inAdding honey to my whole wheat dough fixed everything
Yeah, the "secret flavor ingredient" part is so true. I read this whole article about how honey isn't just one flavor, it picks up notes from whatever the bees are pollinating. That's why the orange blossom gets so floral. It makes total sense when you think about it. I've been meaning to hunt down some local wildflower honey to try because they said that one can be really complex and change with the seasons. It's a cool way to make the same basic recipe taste totally new.

inFound out something wild about old fridge compressors
Was it really that small? My old Whirlpool manual said the same thing.
