Our book club's big clash over 'Moby-Dick' back in 2010 seems so intense compared to our chill chats today, lol

Remember how we tore into the whale symbolism for two hours? Those fights made us care way more about the book than our polite talks now. I kind of wish we still had that fire sometimes.

Hmm, I get what you're saying, @kim.stella, but I see it the other way. Those big fights were fun, but they often left me feeling drained. Now, when we talk calmly, I actually listen better and learn more. The fire was thrilling, but it sometimes burned out real insight. I find that calm talks let us dig deeper without getting so worked up. So, for me, this way feels more lasting in the long run.

Maybe it's just a book, not a war.
