A client's facial steam surprise made my day

Hah, that’s brilliant... I can just picture the full body flinch. Bet she thought you were pulling some hidden camera prank or maybe hitting her with a squirt bottle like a misbehaving cat. Nothing like a tiny jump scare to really cement the spa experience... glad she ended up loving it though, and now you’ve got a walking commercial.

Hot take: Morning feedings are NOT the best time

That "revenge plot" line cracked me up. I used to think chickens didn't hold grudges (like, they're just birds, right?), but your story about the side-eye changed my mind. Now I notice my neighbor's flock giving her the stink eye whenever she swaps their scraps. They definitely plot their payback, even if it's just mobbing for compost.

My scans keep coming out with a weird pink color cast

That pink tint is from the orange layer on the film. Scan it as a slide instead, then fix the colors in your editing program. Default settings on flatbeds are pretty much useless for this.

The silent struggle in family-run fencing businesses over fair pay.

Yeah, that Ohio fence company story is a perfect example of a bigger trend. I see it all the time with home services. Book a painter and they show up late with the wrong color. Schedule a plumber and they forget half the tools. It's like there's a total disconnect between promise and delivery. Makes you wonder how anything gets done right.

Unpopular opinion: Skimping on adhesion promoter for plastic parts will cost you later.

lol, classic "skip the step, win the prize" move. It's right up there with not using a screen protector because your phone feels nicer, then crying over the cracked glass. Or skipping the pre-wash on a greasy pan because you're tired, only to find baked-on gunk forever. That tiny moment you "save" just buys you a front row seat to a bigger mess later.
