Absolutely! Texture is the whole point, it shows they're handmade. Smooth ones just feel factory made and boring to me.

My grandma's lumpy mashed potatoes were always the best part of Sunday dinner (the lumps meant real potatoes, not powder). Texture just adds a whole other layer of interest to food, you know? A perfect smooth bowl never had the same soul.
