inA player's total recall of game cards has me puzzled
Oh totally, I read an article once about how that kind of memory works for some people. It said for heavy board gamers, playing a deck builder like ten times basically burns the cards into your brain through pure repetition. It's less like studying and more like muscle memory, so they're not even trying to memorize, it just happens.

inWhy I skip the pre-heat for small brass castings
Isn't that risking weak joints down the line? Pre-heat helps the brass heat evenly, so you don't get cracks or stress points. I've seen pieces come out fine at first, but then they fail after a few uses. It might save time now, but it could cost more later if something breaks. Why cut corners on something that affects the whole piece's strength? Have you tested those pieces under real stress?

inTrying to perfect every line in my first code dragged the project out for weeks
Actually, perfecting those lines early builds better habits for later projects. It feels slow now but saves debugging time down the road. The discipline pays off more than rushing.

inJust realized my dog ate the recipe card during floor installation.
You sure that's a bad thing? Garlic in tiny amounts can be fine for dogs and herbs might help his stomach. That burp smell probably beats regular dog breath anyway. Could have eaten something worse during the reno.
