inMy sister told me my packing cubes were a waste of space on our trip to Savannah.
Honestly @thomasm41, that boot trick is pretty smart. I tried rolling everything for a while but ended up with a bag full of wrinkled tubes. My move now is folding pants flat across the bottom and using the side pockets for underwear and belts, which keeps things from getting all mixed up.

inMy 36-inch walnut panel bowed on me halfway through a glue-up yesterday, so I clamped it against a straight steel bar overnight.
My buddy tried that and his table split, totally agree with @michael_baker.

inJust read that the oldest known pair of pants, found in China, is over 3,000 years old and had woven-in kneepads for horse riding.
Totally get that, I used to assume old leather patches were for riding until I spent a summer helping on a farm. Wore out my own knees just from kneeling in the dirt all day.

inHeard a guy at the supply house say he never uses a chalk line for big storefronts
Oh man, that reminds me of a buddy who skipped the line on a long storefront install. He swore his eye was good enough. A month later, the owner called him back because the reflection in the glass looked wavy from down the street. He had to eat the cost of replacing two huge panels. That tiny error over twenty feet was just so obvious.

inFound a 1970s church cookbook at a yard sale in Boise
Did they ever try putting hot dogs in jello, because I swear my grandma did that once?
