The 24-hour dry time myth for polyurethane is killing me
Honestly, I keep seeing people slap on a second coat of oil-based poly after a day and call it good. That's a fast track to a gummy mess, especially in humid spots like my shop in Savannah. The can says 24 hours, but I've learned it needs a solid 48, maybe 72, to really cure before sanding or recoating. Who else waits longer than the label says?
