inThat fancy post hole digger from Big Red Tool was a total waste of $280
You're right about the stamped flighting being weak, but even a solid Danuser flighting can get wrecked. The gearbox is the real weak link once you harden the driveline. Like the_ben said, a grade five bolt in the shear pin hole just moves the breaking point somewhere way more expensive. I watched a guy snap his main casting because his "upgraded" pin wouldn't give. The factory soft pin is a cheap fuse.

inRant: The dull knife that saved my bacon on a big ribeye order
Man, that's the best kind of kitchen hack. Had a similar panic with a dull boning knife on a pile of chicken thighs. Grabbed a pair of clean kitchen shears instead of sharpening, and just started snipping through the joints and cartilage. It was shockingly fast and gave a cleaner cut than wrestling with a bad blade. Sometimes the wrong tool is totally right.

inAfter a scary moment on the job, DAE include mental breaks?
Heard a podcast where a safety guy said our brains need those resets like a computer. Honestly, skipping them to save five minutes is how big mistakes happen.

inNew mechanics always scoff at my vacuum gauge, yet it spotted an intake leak that a scan tool missed.
Respect both tools for their jobs. A vacuum gauge finds mechanical leaks, but a scan tool reads the computer data. You need both for a proper check.

inFrom my kitchen: How bulk spices ruined my budget meal plan
Heard that oxygen and light are what kills spice flavor over time. Using mason jars in a dark spot really does keep them fresh longer. Sucks to pay more upfront, but better than ruining a whole pot of soup lol.
