Had a salvage job in the Columbia River where the vis was maybe 6 inches for three straight days.
We found the target by feel alone (and a whole lot of luck, honestly). Anyone else ever pull off a job when you basically had to work blind?

Work blind" sounds a bit much for 6 inches of vis. That's murky, sure, but you can still see your hand in front of your face. Finding something by feel in that isn't a miracle, it's just a tough day on the job. I've had to fix network cables in a ceiling crawlspace with zero light, basically doing it by touch. It's frustrating, but you just get it done.

Ever try that with thick gloves on?

Yeah, that's a good point from Anthony. Read something once about how touch gets way sharper when you can't see, even in murky water. Bet @jordan464 knows about that with gloves, makes it a whole different skill.
