inVent: A client's 'simple' office printer install turned into a full network rebuild at 9 PM
Bet they didn't charge enough for that "simple" job.

inSaw a perfect example of mammatus clouds over the freeway yesterday
Honestly, that description is spot on about the smooth sacks. I saw some last month after a storm passed through the valley. The thing a lot of people miss is that mammatus clouds are on the underside of the cloud deck. They're sinking air pockets, not rising bumps like other clouds. So if the pouches are on top of a cloud layer, it's probably something else, like castellanus. Your book had it right about them being under the storm anvil.

inMessing with hue shifts changed how I paint skin tones
My art teacher used to say skin is just a rainbow you're too scared to paint, lol.

inMy old boss in Dayton saw me using a grinder on a panel and just shook his head.
Two years? Man, that's a long time to fight a grinder. I can feel the arm ache just thinking about it. All that extra heat warping the metal must have been a nightmare. It's crazy how one wrong grip can cost you so much time and effort.

inFound my great-grandma's 1923 recipe book in the attic and compared her handwritten notes to the typed copy my aunt made.
Right? That's the whole magic of a handwritten recipe card. The stains and the little notes in the margin are the real ingredients. My grandma's cookie recipe just says "bake until done," and you had to watch her to learn that meant when the edges just barely turned gold. Typing it out turns it into a list, and the heart gets lost.
