The inspector who taught me more in 10 minutes than 2 weeks of school
Back in 2007, I was running a small remodel job in Tacoma and this old inspector, must have been 70, showed up unannounced. He didn't look at my paperwork, just walked the site and pointed at a header I'd doubled up on, said 'that's overkill, but the way you nailed it will twist by spring.' He showed me the right nailing pattern right there on a scrap 2x6. I've used that trick on every door opening since. Anyone else have a field guy correct them in a way that stuck forever?
