inA salon in Savannah had the most calming setup I've ever seen
That sounds amazing (and honestly makes me want to book a flight to Savannah). Soft lighting is such a game changer, it probably helps the stylists see the true color tones way better too.

inRemembering the first time I saw a load chart on a tablet instead of a laminated sheet

inMy journeyman told me to always check the panel schedule before pulling a circuit, and it saved my butt on a Reno job last week.
Honestly I just pull the dead front and look for the open breaker. Panel schedules get outdated the second they're printed on a reno. You're wasting time checking a piece of paper that's probably wrong. I trust my eyes and a tick tracer way more.

inThe week we had to lift a whole HVAC unit over a live power line
Heard about a crew doing a similar lift over train tracks with a live third rail. That prep work is everything, makes the actual move look easy. Your spotter must have had nerves of steel.

inRant: my new orchid dropped all its buds after I moved it
That's brutal, but good catch on the heater vent. Makes me wonder how much temperature swing they can actually handle. Like, if you brought it home in a cold car and then blasted it with dry heat, that's a huge shock. What was the temperature difference between the greenhouse and your kitchen?
