inTIL how tough it is to fact-check family legends about lost treasure
My grandpa swore his dad fought at Shiloh but the records show he was in Ohio that whole year. Faithbarnes has a point, but sometimes a messy story is just wrong.

inHad a job in Seattle where the client wanted a fence on a 45 degree slope, figured out a trick with the post hole digger.
Just dig sideways and let gravity do the work.

inFinding my old flower pressing book made me think about how we keep memories now
Finding my grandma's old press in the attic last year hit me the same way. I keep it on a windowsill now, just for the look of it. @the_andrew has a point about getting things done faster, but there's a different kind of memory in the handmade wait, you know? Some things just mean more when you let them take the time they need.

inPSA: Keep a simple text file of your common code errors
How do you organize your notes so you can actually find the fix later? I tried this but my file got messy fast, and then it was useless. A good system seems key for this to work long-term.

inPro tip: Swore by green sand for years, but no-bake's consistency won me over.
Totally feel you on the sludge. My flasks used to get that nasty green sand coating that took forever to pressure wash off. Switched to no-bake for a batch of gear blanks last month and the sand just fell apart after shakeout. I saved like an hour of scrubbing per casting session, which adds up fast. That cleanup time is a hidden cost nobody talks about.
