Back when my sister was remodeling her kitchen in 2020, she had these huge patio doors put in. After installation, we saw faint streaks just like you described, especially when the sun hit them in the afternoon. She called the company, and they sent a guy out who said it was from the tempering process and wouldn't affect anything. Glad you found the honey trick! It really does fix everything (I swear by it now). I started adding a tablespoon to my warm water with the yeast, and it wakes them up so much faster. Whole wheat can be so dense without that extra sugar for the yeast to eat. Also, it gives the crust a nicer color, which is a bonus. Stick with it, and your bread will only get better.
