Beef's carbon footprint now guides my food choices

I never thought about food and climate change. A friend showed me how cows let out methane gas. That gas traps heat and warms the earth. So I now go for chicken or plant stuff more. It feels like a simple way to help.

Guess we're all just waiting for the day cows unionize and demand better PR. They're out here getting blamed for climate change while the real villain is my neighbor's diesel truck that sounds like the end of the world. Honestly, though, it's wild how one fun fact about cow burps can totally rewrite your grocery list. Makes you side-eye every burger now, which is maybe a good thing, even if it's a bummer.

Pretty sure my burger habit alone is keeping the cow PR team up at night. I'm out here feeling guilty but also still gonna eat one, so I'm definitely not helping.

The whole cow burp thing gets so much airtime, but the numbers are tiny compared to other stuff. It feels like we're being told to worry about our lunch while bigger problems get ignored. A single cargo ship probably does more damage in a day than a whole ranch.
