PSA: That time I got anime characters totally wrong at a friend's watch party

We used to have weekly anime nights at my friend's house, crammed on the couch. I once argued for ten minutes that a voice actor played two different roles, but I had them backwards. Everyone laughed when someone pulled up the credits online to prove it. These days, we just check our phones during debates, but the old mix-ups were more fun.

Did your friends ever drag out the argument on purpose because the wrong guesses were just funnier? I miss when not knowing something right away led to those big, silly debates instead of just googling it. The instant answer kinda kills the vibe now.

During a marathon of Naruto last summer, I totally mixed up two side characters' names for like three episodes. I mean, I was so sure the voice for Iruka was also doing Kakashi, but it was totally different actors. My friends let me go on about it until someone looked it up and proved me wrong. Idk, maybe it's just me but those moments made the watch parties way more memorable.

Actually @jenny426, those wrong guesses just waste time when we could be enjoying the show. Getting the facts right makes discussions better, not worse.
