inMy furnace hit 2800 degrees for the first time last shift.
Yeah, the whole "check your calibration" thing is huge. It's not just a one-time setup check, you know? I've seen so many readings go way off over time from normal wear and tear. If you don't have a routine to test against a known good standard, you're basically trusting a guess. That's how you end up with a process running too hot or too cold and ruining stuff. It's a simple step that saves a ton of headache later.

inPro tip: double check your post hole digger rental agreement
My buddy rented a carpet cleaner once and got hit with a huge fee because the drop box was full... they said he didn't return it until the next morning when someone emptied the box. It's crazy how they find these loopholes. He argued for an hour but they wouldn't budge. Makes you want to read the whole contract word for word.

inI got my whole block to stop using leaf blowers by starting a 'loudest rake' competition.
Actually, it's the loudest leaf blower competition. The rake thing was a joke from last year. The blowers are way louder, they measure them with those sound meter things.

inSpent four hours chasing a phantom door lock fault at the Grandview apartments
Ugh that's the worst kind of find. So when you finally spotted it, was the plastic actually blocking the door from seating all the way, or was it just messing with the sensor's beam? I'm trying to picture how such a small thing could throw a lock code and not just cause a door bounce.

inAm I the only one who had a whole hog shoulder that just would not break down right?
Feel your pain, that sounds brutal.
