My cat started bringing me socks every morning at 6 AM sharp

For about two weeks, my orange tabby Gus would drop a single sock by my bed right when my alarm went off. I thought it was just a weird quirk until I read that cats bring 'gifts' to show they care. It clicked when I realized he only does it on work days, never weekends. Has anyone else's cat developed a timed gift-giving habit like this?
