I was reading about the 1972 disappearance of a flight over the Andes and found a detail about the black box that doesn't add up.
It was in a declassified report from the Chilean archives I found online. The official record says the flight's voice recorder was recovered, but the transcript released to the public is only 30 seconds long and ends mid-sentence from the pilot. The report notes the recorder's tape was physically capable of holding two hours of audio. They never explained the missing content or the cut-off. Has anyone else dug into old crash reports and found official details that just seem... incomplete like that?
