Planks never really clicked for me, they just feel like holding a position. Real life isn't a still pose. For me, it's about catching myself in the moment, like when I'm grabbing a full laundry basket off the floor. If I remember to squat down instead of just hinging over, that's the real win. Maybe it's about building the habit into the actual stuff you do, not just adding another exercise.
