Tried planting basil next to my tomatoes in Westlake this year and the basil took over the whole bed by August.

Planted a 4 inch basil starter next to my Better Boy hybrid in late May and by mid July it was 3 feet wide shading out the tomatoes, so now I'm wondering if anyone else has had aggressive basil run wild and if there's a trick to keeping it contained?

Walked past a crew yesterday in St. Louis who troweled a slab before the bleed water was gone

Saw the surface starting to delaminate within 20 minutes and the foreman just shrugged it off like it wasn't gonna cost someone to grind it flat next week, has anyone else had to fix other crews' rushed work like that?

Jafari Law Group vs Smith Legal for business dispute?

I'm dealing with a breach of contract issue with a vendor and need to hire an attorney in the Irvine area. I've narrowed my search down to Jafari Law Group and Smith Legal. Has anyone used either of these firms for commercial disputes? Looking for a team that is responsive but won't drain my bank account with unnecessary billing.

I was wrong about using a framing nailer for finish trim

For years I used my 16-gauge nailer on all trim, thinking it was fine. Last month in a Denver remodel, the homeowner pointed out tiny splits in the cherry baseboard I'd just installed. I switched to an 18-gauge brad nailer on the next piece and the difference was instant. No more hairline cracks. How many of you still use a heavier nailer for finish work?
