inUpdate: That time I cut a 12-foot seam backwards in a Denver condo and had to hide it under a couch.
My buddy tried that exact thing, sanding down a drip behind his couch. He was so proud of the blend job. Fast forward to moving day, he pulls the couch out and the light hits it just right. It looked like a weird shiny scar on the wall, totally different from the flat paint around it. He had to redo the whole corner because the fix was more obvious than the original drip. Kinda backfired on the whole 'out of sight' plan lol.

inMy writing group's prompt about a lost key in Seattle went totally sideways
Heard a writer say characters going off script is how you find the real story.

inWarning: I thought the 'freeze spray for microsoldering' trick was just a joke
Oh man, that's awesome it worked! I had a similar save on an old Xbox 360 with the GPU. The freeze spray trick got just enough contraction to pop a stubborn corner loose before I hit it with the hot air. It was totally a last-ditch move, but it kept the pads intact.

inI bought a $50 'bullet journal starter kit' online and it was a total scam
Oh man, that's so true. My buddy got this fancy watch as a gift, and @mia727, the box was insane, like solid wood. The watch itself broke in a week. Total scam.

inDropped $40 on a fancy airlock for my first big batch of hot sauce and it clogged up in two days.
Yeah, that thick pulp rising is the worst. I've had better luck with a wider mouth bubbler and leaving more headspace, like a good three inches at the top. It still needs a quick check every couple days to swish things around, though.
