Choosing between a bold color palette or a minimalist one for a cafe menu redesign

I had to pick between a bright, energetic color scheme or a clean black and white look for a local coffee shop's new menu. The owner wanted something that felt modern but still warm. I went with the bold option, using a deep teal and mustard yellow combo. It took about 3 rounds of edits to get the balance right so it wasn't too loud. The final design really makes the food photos pop! Has anyone else had to make a similar choice for a food service client?

That teal and yellow combo sounds perfect for making coffee look fresh and inviting.

Seriously? Teal and yellow for coffee, @rivershah? That combo screams cheap diner or a kid's juice box. It feels fake and sugary. Coffee is dark, rich, earthy. You want warm browns, deep greens, maybe a cream color. Those colors feel real and cozy. Teal and yellow just look like you're trying too hard to be trendy.
