Pro tip: double check your post hole digger rental agreement

I got charged an extra $75 for a late return because the yard closed early on a holiday. The clock started when they closed, not when I actually brought it back. Anyone else run into weird rental rules like that?

My buddy rented a carpet cleaner once and got hit with a huge fee because the drop box was full... they said he didn't return it until the next morning when someone emptied the box. It's crazy how they find these loopholes. He argued for an hour but they wouldn't budge. Makes you want to read the whole contract word for word.

Oh man, that reminds me of my friend's disaster with a moving truck. He returned it with a full tank of gas like the contract said, but they charged him a refueling fee anyway because their "policy" was that the needle had to be above the full line. He had to show them his gas station receipt to get it cleared, which took three days of calls. These places have a rule for everything.
