Looking back at my first big fabric order from 2018

I was so excited to design a full collection and bought 200 yards of this textured silk blend online without a sample. When it arrived, the color was totally wrong, a weird orange instead of the deep rust I needed, and the hand feel was stiff. I was stuck with it and lost about $1,200 because I couldn't use it for the line. Has anyone else gotten burned on a big fabric buy sight unseen?

Oh man, that "bought 200 yards online without a sample" is a gut punch. I learned the hard way too, now I always pay for a swatch first, even if it slows me down. It saves so much money and stress.
