inI thought working from cafes was the best part of the lifestyle, but after trying a co-working space in Medellin for a week, I'm totally switching sides.
Yeah, the cafe thing gets old fast. I remember trying to take a Zoom call from a place in Lisbon and the barista started grinding coffee beans right as my client asked about Q3 projections. Had to pretend my audio cut out. That was the day I started looking up local coworking spots. The peace of mind is worth the few bucks a day for sure.

inHeard a guy at the plant nursery say he talks to his ferns every morning
My neighbor in Davis swears by talking to her tomatoes. She gets a bigger yield than anyone on our block, and she's not doing anything special with fertilizer. It makes you wonder if there's something to the old stories.

inI always thought those cheap wireless sensors from that online marketplace were total junk, but a client insisted I use them on her rental property. Three years later, they're still reporting perfectly.
Isn't it funny how that happens? My old cheap toaster is a tank, too, river_adams25. It makes me wonder why we ever bother with the expensive versions sometimes.

inSerious question, I was reading a 2013 Senate report and saw the CIA admitted to running a fake vaccination program
Totally agree, and it gets worse. I was reading about that a few years back and it just wrecked actual aid work (like, vaccination rates in those areas dropped hard because nobody trusted the doctors anymore). It's one of those things that feels so short-sighted, you know? They got their one sample but then burned every bit of trust for public health workers in the region. It's the perfect example of how a spy trick can ruin something good for regular people.

inPSA: I tried that 'universal' stove windshield hack with a car sunshade and it melted onto my Jetboil in under 5 minutes.
Guess you found the non-universal part, huh?
