I used to think all jersey fabric was basically the same for casual wear
After my last project, a simple drop-shoulder top, pilled and lost its shape in two months, I realized the weight and knit structure matter way more than I gave credit for. I'm sticking to 280 GSM or heavier cotton jersey from now on. Has anyone found a specific supplier that doesn't skimp on the fabric weight?
Ugh, been there. I switched to using fabric from The Fabric Snob for my basics and it's been a total game changer. Their heavyweight jersey actually stays heavy.
