Just spotted my great-aunt's gingerbread recipe in a cookbook at the Portland library

Honestly, it was a wild feeling to see her handwriting in a published collection from 1972. Has anyone else had a family recipe pop up somewhere totally random?

Look at it as saving a piece of history. Recipes get lost when they're just kept in one family. Putting it in a book means everyone can try your grandma's famous pie, keeping her memory alive. It's not stealing, it's sharing a good thing. Some of the best dishes we have came from someone's home kitchen first.
