inTook a night shot at the Grand Canyon and it came out looking like a blurry mess
Wait hold on, are you saying a tiny little vibration from the shutter button actually messes up a whole long exposure? I thought as long as the cable is plugged in, you're totally fine. That's bonkers. I've been doing this for years and never once thought about the cable itself shaking the camera. I just assumed the whole point of the remote was to stop you from touching the body. I bet I've ruined dozens of shots without even realizing it because of that stupid little cord flapping around. Now I'm going to be paranoid about every breeze and every step I take near the tripod.

inMy cat spent 4 months guarding an empty box like it was a national treasure
I mean, yeah, cats do the box thing but calling it "five-star accommodation" feels like a stretch. My cat spent a whole month sleeping on a crinkled paper bag I left on the floor once, but I didn't frame it as some luxury hotel situation. He just liked the crinkle sound when he rolled over, I guess. Your buddy probably just didn't want to admit he wasted money on fancy beds, so he turned the box into a whole story. Cats are weird, sure, but let's not pretend they're making thoughtful choices about interior design.

inPut $3,000 into upgrading the HVAC in my strip plaza last fall
Hasn't it been wild how small fixes end up having these huge ripple effects? We got new windows done a few years back and suddenly the room didn't feel like a sauna by noon... plus the heating bill went way down. It's like everything in a building is connected somehow, one thing breaks and it messes up the whole balance. The insulation probably did a lot of the heavy lifting honestly, that stuff works like magic when it's done right. Feels like most places are just held together with tape and good intentions until you actually dig into it.

inBurned my chili beyond recognition and had to order pizza
Dig into that a little more for me @hayden720. What movie was it? I mean, I'm genuinely curious because if it was good enough to make you forget about a whole batch of chili, that's some serious distraction. Idk maybe it's just me but I feel like when I'm really into a film, I get this tunnel vision where everything else just fades away, you know? Even the smell of burning chili probably wouldn't pull me out of it. But like, was it a new release or an old favorite? Because sometimes those rewatch flicks hit different and just suck you right in. Either way, hope the movie was worth the sacrifice.

inFound a time capsule receipt from 1987 inside a dead mall in Ohio
Nah, it's just an old pizza receipt, not the damn Dead Sea Scrolls.
