I thought the Edmonton Chat app was just another city thing that would fade out fast.

I downloaded it after a friend kept going on about it, and the local event threads for the Folk Fest were actually super helpful for finding food vendors. Anyone else find a specific use for it that surprised them?

Wait, didn't I see a news thing about people using it for lost pets? That's wild. @the_reese is right though, the local buy/sell is low-key the best part, no weird shipping drama.

Yeah, I figured it was just for complaining about potholes. I found the buy/sell groups way better than Facebook Marketplace for local stuff. Picked up a snowblower last winter from a guy three blocks away.
