Walked into my old mall last week and barely recognized the food court

I used to go to the Westfield mall in Oakridge every Friday night with my friends. We would grab pizza at the Sbarro and hang out by the fountain for hours. Last week I drove by on a whim and went inside. The whole food court is empty except for one pretzel stand and the tile floor is cracked everywhere. Does anyone know if the new highway bypass is what finally killed that place or was it the Amazon returns center opening across town?

Drive by and check if the new Walmart on the bypass has a food court. Those usually pull traffic away from old malls pretty fast. If the Target was the anchor store, moving it basically sealed the place shut.

Honestly I still remember when that Sbarro had the best pepperoni slices for like three bucks. The new bypass definitely hurt but I think the real killer was when Target moved to the new shopping center down the road.

Did hugog43 and I ever actually run into each other at that Sbarro or am I making that up?
