The time I put a guy on hold and forgot about him for 45 minutes

Back when I worked phone support for a cable company, this was around 2015, I had a guy who wouldn't stop yelling about his billing. I put him on hold to "check his account" but really I just needed a minute to breathe. Then my supervisor called me into a meeting about overtime, and I completely blanked on the guy. Came back to my desk 45 minutes later and he was still on hold. He'd hung up and called back twice in that time, got routed to other reps, but somehow my line was still open. He was just sitting there breathing heavy, waiting. I apologized and fixed his bill in like 2 minutes after that. Has anyone else ever spaced out on a customer that bad?

Honestly, I once put a telemarketer on hold and just walked away for good.
