My tire blew out on I-95 in Delaware and it changed how I check pressure
Was driving home from a job site near Wilmington when my right rear tire just exploded at 70 mph. Scared me half to death but I got it pulled over okay. Turns out I had been running 40 PSI in a tire rated for 50 and the heat buildup did the damage. Now I check pressures cold every Sunday morning with a digital gauge. Anyone else had a blowout change their maintenance habits?

Emma that's rough... glad you got it stopped safe. I had a blowout on the highway a few years back, and it's a feeling you don't forget. Ever since then I check my tires like a hawk too, every Sunday morning with the same old gauge. It's funny how one scary moment can make you pay attention to something you never thought about before. Hope your car made it home okay after that mess.
