Can we talk about how grocery store lighting is a total psyop

I used to think I was just bad at picking out fruit. You know, you grab a tomato that looks perfect under those bright store lights, get it home, and it's pale and mealy. About 6 months ago I started noticing the lighting in my local Kroger on Elm Street in Dallas. They have these special LED fixtures over the produce that make everything look deep red and vibrant. I did a little test where I took a photo of an apple under those lights and then under my regular kitchen light at home. The difference was crazy, like two different apples. Now I always grab stuff from the back of the display where the shadows are, or I'll hold it up near a cooler door where the light is more natural. It's got me wondering if that's why convenience stores make hot dogs look so good too. Has anyone else compared store lights to what you see at home?

Is that really a conspiracy thing though or just good marketing?

Didn't someone do a whole science study on this with grocery store lights and veg?
