Put $3,000 into upgrading the HVAC in my strip plaza last fall

Tenant complained about uneven cooling for months, and after a new zoning system and better insulation the electric bill dropped almost 25%. Has anyone else seen that kind of payback from mechanical upgrades?

Hasn't it been wild how small fixes end up having these huge ripple effects? We got new windows done a few years back and suddenly the room didn't feel like a sauna by noon... plus the heating bill went way down. It's like everything in a building is connected somehow, one thing breaks and it messes up the whole balance. The insulation probably did a lot of the heavy lifting honestly, that stuff works like magic when it's done right. Feels like most places are just held together with tape and good intentions until you actually dig into it.

Stick some foam gaskets behind those outlet covers too... that's where half my draft was sneaking in and I never would've guessed it.
